430-acre environmental education center located two miles East of New London. Hiking trails, indoor exhibits and a variety of weekend programs including bird watching. Open year 'round. Bird watching, fly-fishing, youth deer and youth pheasant hunting presentations, live raptor programs, painting/drawing workshop, nature journaling, tree identification and biology, nature hikes and more. Learning Wisconsin’s native birds can certainly add to the enjoyment of your family’s walk through the woods, along a river or even in your own backyard. Through the use of binoculars, birdcall recordings and field guides, naturalist Jessica Miller will teach you the basics of bird watching.
Three miles of developed hiking trails includes several prairie trails and a loop to the top of Mosquito Hill where there are inspiring scenic overlooks. You'll meet a live owl or two indoors then head outside to learn owl calls and habitat.
