275 acres of wetlands, forests, prairies and a lake attract a diverse array of songbirds, raptors and waterfowl. Located on the North end of the UW-Stevens Point campus, the Reserve's five miles of nature trails connect to the city's 24-mile Green Circle Trail. The Schmeeckle Reserve Visitor Center is your starting point for exploring the natural area. The visitor center is also the home of the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame and is the headquarters of the Green Circle Trail.
Visitor Center and Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame open Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, Sat & Sun noon-5pm.
