Ledge View Nature Center offers 3 miles of trails, a beautiful nature center, a variety of birds, including spring/fall migrants. The nature center includes exhibits on the Niagara Escarpment, Lake Sturgeon, Bats of Wisconsin, and Birds. Some live animals, including bats and sturgeon.
Some spring topics are natural egg dyes, wildflower folklore, gardening, family geology, astronomy, frogs, and birds. Summer topics may include prairie wildflower folklore, wild edibles, and insects. Over autumn-winter visitors can join workshops on wreath-making, basketry, nature ornaments, natural fibers and fingerweaving, or learn winter ecology or backyard maple syruping. Snowshoes and cross-country skis are available for individual day-use rental within the park when snow cover is adequate. Take a tour of one of our natural solution caves, beginning in late May through November; the only caves in Eastern Wisconsin.
