A 350-acre sanctuary located 30 miles north of Milwaukee between Saukville and West Bend. The Center is a breeding habitat for 67 species of birds. It includes12 miles of trails through prairies and woodlands along the Milwaukee River. As a visitor to Riveredge you will find a diverse and beautiful landscape to wander on foot, on skis or snowshoes. Our 370-acre sanctuary has ten miles of trails around ponds and fens, through woodlands and prairies, and along the Milwaukee River.
The Riveredge Bird Club brings together those who enjoy observing and learning more about birds and sharing these interest with others. All activities are free and open to the public. Snowshoers have a special snowshoeing area in the Mayhew Woods. Environmental Center open Mon-Fri 8am-5pm; Sat & Sun noon- 4pm.
