Board the "Karfi" passenger ferry at Jackson Harbor for a ferry ride from Washington Island to Rock Island State Park. Departures mid May-mid Oct. Daily trips leave Washington Island at 10:00 am, 1:00pm and 4:00pm, May 22 through June 26 and Sept. 8 through Oct. 12 , with extra trips Saturday and Sunday at 11:00am, 12:00,and 2:00pm.
During the peak months, June 27 through Sept. 7, the ferry departs Washington Island every hour on the hour from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Added trip on Fridays - 6:00pm. Please inquire about special trips. Schedule is subject to change and weather conditions without notice.
No vehicles of any kind are allowed on Rock Island. You can reach Rock Island by private boat or ferry (seasonal). (920) 847-2235 summer or (920) 847-3156 winter.
