Established in 1897, we are a century old farmer-owned cooperative producing a variety of award winning American and Italian style cheeses. Our two state of the art cheese plants are supplied with milk from 600 member owners from across Wisconsin and staffed with people with years of cheesemaking experience. Alto's Black Creek facility is known for its aged cheddar. Stop by and try some of Wisconsin's finest cheese.

Governor Doyle and Agriculture Secretary Rod Nilsestuen will announce that Alto Dairy, the state's largest co-op, will partner with Winona Foods to put the Black Creek Aged Cheddar brand in stores across the nation and compete head to head with the nation's premier specialty cheese brands.
