The New Glarus Brewing Company is by definition a small independently owned craft brewery. They have been rated the 21st largest craft brewer and 32nd largest overall brewing company in the country, according to the Brewers Association in Boulder, CO, and over the years it has received numerous awards for its many different beers.Beer is available for sale at the original brewery location on Cty. Hwy. W. Gift shop hours are daily 10 am - 5 pm. Products are also available at many locations, including area grocery stores, Brennan's Farm Market, and many liquor and convenience stores in Wisconsin.

New Glarus Brewing company beers are sold exclusively in Wisconsin. From 1998 to 2002, New Glarus Brewing Company brews were also sold in Illinois, with a majority of its sales throughout greater Chicago.

Year-round beers include Spotted Cow, Uff-Da Bock, Fat Squirrel, Hop Hearty, Wisconsin Belgian Red, Raspberry Tart, and Organic Revolution. Seasonal beers include Road Slush, Snowshoe Ale, Jule Alt, Edel Pils, Dancing Man Wheat, Totally Naked, and Staghorn Octoberfest.

New Glarus beers are distributed exclusively in Wisconsin. Most grocery and convenience stores in Wisconsin carry Spotted Cow and a few other varieties.

Most bars will have Spotted Cow on tap. Currently, the brewery does not distribute outside of Wisconsin, so they can focus on the quality of their product. New Glarus beers are distributed by seventeen independent wholesalers in the state of Wisconsin.
