Brewing in Prairie du Sac WI at Wollersheim Winery

A National Historic Site overlooking the Wisconsin River Valley, this winery & vineyard were established before the Civil War. Established 1972, the Wollersheim Winery is a producer of nationally recognized wines, a number of which are estate grown and barrel aged.

The guided tour includes a winemaking video, a visit to the underground aging caves, and wine tasting. Open daily, 10 am-5pm.year-rounds.

Winemaker Philippe Coquard combines tradition with the unique climate and growing season of Wisconsin to produce regional wines distinctive to this area of Wisconsin. Winery visitors may take a guided tour that includes the rich history as well as an explanation of the traditional and modern wine facilities.
The wine list includes dry, barrel aged wines, such as: Domaine Reserve, Domaine du Sac, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Prairie Sunburst Red, Sangiovese, and Ruby Nouveau are three dry reds that are not barrel aged. Dry and semi-dry white wines include Dry Riesling, Eagle White, Prairie Fumé and Prairie Blush. Sweet wines include: White Riesling, Blushing Rose, River Gold, Ice Wine, Very Late Harvest and Port Wine.
