Bats-Boulder Junction Area Bike Trail System
10.2-mile mountain bike trail touring forest, lakes and streams. (A State trail pass is required for this portion.) Trail is signed along a combination of logging, snowmobile and X-C ski trails. A separate, 3.5-mile blacktopped trail ideal for biking and roller-blading links downtown Boulder Junction with the North Trout Lake Picnic Area.

The Nichols Beach Trail is the only signed and regularly maintained bike trail of the BATS. This blacktopped trail links Main Street Boulder Junction with Trout lake and with the Crystal Lake Campground in Sayner. Other BATS trails are snowmobile trails and logging tracks. Bicyclists are welcome to ride the other trails, but are cautioned that there is no signage on those trails.
Location: 3 miles to Nichols Lake from the Boulder Junction Chamber Office. Follow orange snowmobile trail markers and "Nichols Beach" signs.
