Saunders State Bike Trail, Wisconsin (WI)

This 8.4-mile trail, linking with the Gandy Dancer Trail near Superior and continuing into Minnesota, provides hikers, off-road bikers and snowmobilers views of forests, wildlife and reminders of the region's railroad history.


The Saunders State Trail is open to walkers, snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, horses, off-road bikes, and cross-country skiers. The trail surface is rough railroad ballast. Wild raspberries and many kinds of flowers grow along the trail.
